Swim For A Mile is taking place in Ballinakill Outdoor Pool starting in July 2025.
Swim Ireland’s Swim For A Mile initiative aims to encourage people to get back into the pool and become confident life-long swimmers. Swim Ireland coaches have written a swimming programme, that enables those who can swim a little to swim a mile in just 8 weeks. You can choose to follow the programme on your own or join one of the SFAM training groups at a participating pool.
Step up to the challenge and opt to complete the mile (or half mile) in an official Swim For A Mile Challenge event, where you will be supported through your timed swim and receive a Swim For A Mile event pack.

What’s the refund policy?
If you know in advance that you will not be able to attend, please notify the LSP office on 057 8671248 and we will endeavour to transfer your booking or issue a refund. If this course course is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, we will contact you directly to make alternate arrangements.
