SUMMARY:Swim for a Mile
DESCRIPTION:Swim for a Mile\nSwim For A Mile is taking place in Ballinakill Outdoor Pool starting in July 2025. \nSwim Ireland’s Swim For A Mile initiative aims to encourage people to get back into the pool and become confident life-long swimmers. Swim Ireland coaches have written a swimming programme\, that enables those who can swim a little to swim a mile in just 8 weeks. You can choose to follow the programme on your own or join one of the SFAM training groups at a participating pool.\nStep up to the challenge and opt to complete the mile (or half mile) in an official Swim For A Mile Challenge event\, where you will be supported through your timed swim and receive a Swim For A Mile event pack. \nFAQs\nCost?\n€40 for 8-week programme \nAre there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?\nParticipants must be aged 18 years or older \nHow can I contact the organiser with any questions?\nPlease call 086 0111722 during office hours or email Liam – CSDO@laoissports.ie \nYou should understand that when participating in any exercise or exercise program\, there is the possibility of physical injury.
