Laois Canoe & Kayak – Start your Kayaking Journey

When? Saturday 7th March

Session 1: 11am to 1pm

Where? Laois Kayak & Canoe Club, the Old Bridge Durrow, Co. Laois. R32 C5FC

Cost? €10 per person (Limited Availability)

Age: Minimum age is 14 – juniors (under 18 years of age) should be accompanied by a responsible adult – the adult doesn’t need to participate on the water.

Info: Changing and toilet facilities are available in the clubhouse.

Dress for the weather – most likely participants will get wet – bring preferably a wetsuit (or if not an old tracksuit and thin layers such as rash vests), old runners, towel, change of clothes, sugary snack, drink. The club will provide all the other gear and equipment for the session.

As is normal practice, the instructors will review suitability of conditions (river flow, temperature, hazards, etc.) on the morning of the event and may cancel if risk is deemed too high. We should have a good indication of conditions on the week running up to the Saturday.

Laois Kayak will submit an event risk assessment to Canoeing Ireland.
