About the Laois Inclusion Games

The Laois Inclusion Games was a celebration of sport, participation, achievement and belonging, bringing together people of all ages and abilities to experience the power of inclusive sport. Led and delivered by our VIP Hub partner, in collaboration with Laois Sports Partnership and local community organisations, the Games provided opportunities for participants to get active, connect with others and enjoy a wide range of sporting activities in a welcoming and supportive environment. From para cycling and wheelchair basketball to athletics, swimming, football and blind and visually impaired sports, the event showcased how sport can break down barriers, build confidence and create meaningful connections within communities.

Celebrating Inclusion and Community

More than just a sporting event, the Laois Inclusion Games highlighted the importance of inclusion, accessibility and community spirit. Throughout the weekend, participants, families, volunteers, clubs and organisations came together to create an atmosphere of encouragement, achievement and fun. The Games demonstrated the positive impact that inclusive opportunities can have on individuals and communities, while showcasing the many ways people of all abilities can participate in and enjoy sport. The event was a powerful reminder that when communities work together towards a shared goal, everyone has the opportunity to belong, participate and thrive.
