LSP awarded over €220,000 from Dormant Accounts Fund

Receiving this €220,000 from the Dormant Accounts Fund is a tremendous boost for Laois Sports Partnership.

This funding will enable us to expand our reach and make a real difference in our community. By supporting local volunteers, promoting women’s participation in sports, and providing inclusive opportunities for people with disabilities, we are creating a more active and equal future for everyone in Laois.

We are proud to be part of the nationwide effort to build stronger, healthier communities through sport.

This is part of ongoing Government funding to promote physical well-being and this will support projects so everyone can enjoy the numerous health benefits of being active in sport.

I want to praise Laois Local Sports Partnership for the invaluable work they do in supporting communities and community groups throughout the County to promote sport and increase participation in sport.

I encourage everyone to contact the Laois Local Sports Partnership, whether you are a sports person, a community group or someone who has never been involved in sports.

The Laois LSP will provide you information and will assist you to promote and participate in sport.

We are very happy to announce this investment package of €5.1m as part of our continuing commitment to promoting inclusivity and accessibility in sports and physical activities across Ireland.
