Laois Sports Partnership is encouraging sports clubs, community organisations and volunteer groups across County Laois to submit nominations for the Sports Award category in the 2026 Community & Voluntary Awards. 

The Sports Award recognises and celebrates clubs and organisations that go above and beyond to promote participation in sport and physical activity within their communities. The award acknowledges groups that play a leading role in improving quality of life, reducing barriers to participation and creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get active. 

Whether your club has delivered inclusive programmes, increased community participation, supported volunteers, promoted health and wellbeing, or provided opportunities for people to stay active, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase and celebrate your achievements. 

The Community & Voluntary Awards also include categories recognising achievements in Arts, Culture & Heritage, Climate Action, Social Inclusion, Health & Wellbeing, Junior Volunteer of the Year and Unsung Hero.
