Laois Sports Partnership is encouraging sports clubs, community organisations, schools and voluntary groups across the county to start preparing now for the next round of the Community Sport Facilities Fund (CSFF).
The fund is the Government’s primary programme for supporting the development and improvement of sports facilities and the purchase of sports equipment. Previous funding rounds have supported projects including facility upgrades, accessibility improvements, equipment purchases, storage facilities, pitch developments and multi-use community sports infrastructure.
Start Preparing Now
While the application process is expected to open through a new online system, organisations can take important steps now to strengthen their future application, including:
- Reviewing governance and club documentation.
- Confirming facility ownership or long-term usage agreements.
- Identifying priority projects and facility needs.
- Obtaining quotations and cost estimates.
- Demonstrating community benefit and increased participation.
- Considering accessibility and inclusion measures.
- Identifying a lead person to coordinate the application.
