ICoach Kids Conference
The Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore Bridge Street, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, IrelandAs part of the European Week of Sport, Sport Ireland Coaching, in partnership with Laois Sports Partnership and Offaly Sports Partnership, are hosting an ICOACHKIDS Regional Coaching Conference for coaches of children and teenagers. This is an amazing opportunity for coaches to hear from renowned speakers in the field of coaching children in sport. If you answer YES to any of the following questions attending an ICOACHKIDS Regional Coaching Conference is for YOU! Are you a coach of children U12? Do you coach teenage girls? Do you coach teenage boys? Would you like to know more about being child/teen centred in your coaching? What coaching skills do you need to improve/develop to put the needs of children/teenagers first? Would you like to develop an inclusive culture and environment where you coach? Are you concerned with dropout from your sport? Coaches who attend will be provided with specific directed learning on the day of the conference, as well as being signposted to self-directed learning opportunities through Sport Ireland and the ICOACHKIDS website.

Safeguarding 2: Online Workshop, Club Children’s Officer Training
OnlineSafeguarding 2: Club Children’s Officer (C.C.O) A person appointed to the Club Children’s Officer Position in a club must have completed Safeguarding 1 (Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness workshop) and should complete the NEW Club Children’s Officer 3 hour workshop. This course will help the Club Children’s Officer to carry out the function of their role in the club and support the implementation of best practice in the club. Participants will also receive a Club Children’s Officer Action Planning document as part of the training. Participants must be over 16 years of age. Participants aged 16 or 17 must submit a consent form, signed by parent/guardian. Consent form can be emailed back to info@laoissports.ie Participants will receive course material/link via email a few days before the course. Certs will be emailed after course completion. Please note that refunds will not be issued to participants who do not join the course.
