Laois Sports Partnership promotes and supports RTE’s Operation Transformation Programme. The annual Sport Ireland Nationwide Walking Events take place each January locally in Laois and all around the country. These walks are a great way of promoting walking as a fun way to get and stay active. The annual nationwide walks are a very important event in the promotion of healthy living and the pursuit of exercise.
