The board of Laois Sports Partnership was completed in May 2002 with the appointment of representatives through an open forum from primary and secondary schools, sports clubs and organizations, sports providers and the Laois Disability Network. The board meets on a bi-monthly basis to work on operational and strategic planning issues. A full-time co-ordinator and assistant are employed by the Partnership through seed funding grant aided by the Irish Sports Council.
