A number of Activity Days have been held so far this year. The purpose of these days are ‘Come and Try It’ days to see what people are interested in getting involved in. Following on from these days, if there is a large enough interest in any particular activity the hope would be to try and get it going on a more regular basis in certain areas. Some of these arranged days may contain activities that would not suite or be of interest to some organisations, however, everyone is very welcome to come along even if one’s interest is to just watch or even get involved in the running of certain events. We feel that anyone can act as a volunteer when it comes to being involved in local clubs or organisations, including people with disabilities. In February a Sports/Activities Day was held in the Abbeyleix CYMS Hall. Activities on the day: - Badminton
- Table Tennis
- Basketball

The Lake is surrounded by a nice accessible path where some wandered and enjoyed the wonders of nature. This trip proved so successful that we have been back 5 or 6 times with various groups. Thanks to all the staff at the lake who have been very helpful and welcoming every time we appeared. Check out Photos from this event by clicking here
