SAQ Level 1 Course in GAA Centre, Abbeyleix Road, Portlaoise, Co. Laois on Friday 11th & 25th February from 6.30pm to 10.30pm. Cost €50 per person as subsidised by Laois County Council in assoication with Laois Sports Partnership. Course Content This course further develops the principles of SAQ and introduces coaches to training methods, as well as drills and exercise designed to improve agility and quickness off the mark. Quickness off the mark is one of the most important elements in field games. It involves anticipation, re-action and the ability to initiate movement. Agility on the other hand is a key component of agility, the ability to change pace or direction with precision and at top speed. For years, trainers have equated speed and agility training. This course will address these issues and introduce drills, exercises and training sessions to improve a player's ability to be more mobile around the field.
