SPORTS CAPITAL PROGRAMME GRANTS ANNOUNCED |

The Department of Arts, Sport & Tourism has just announced the recipients of the Sports Capital Programme Grants for Laois A total of Euro 786,000 has been allocated to Laois. The recipients of the Sports Capital Grants are; Euro Graiguecullen GAA 190,000 Hawthorn Community Development Association 90,000 O’Dempsey’s GAA Football Club 80,000 St. Mary’s Community Hall, Portlaoise 70,000 Heywood Sports Facilities Committee 55,000 Portlaoise GAA Club 50,000 Clonin Sports Field Committee 35,000 Lions FC 35,000 Killeen Community Hall Development Association 30,000 Kilcotton GAA 30,000 Rathdowney GAA Club 28,000 Portarlington Community Centre 25,000 Mountmellick Macra na Feirme Sports Club 24,000 The Heath GAA Club 17,000 Ballyroan Juvenile GAA Club 10,000 Ballyroan GAA Club 7,000 St. Colmcille’s NS & Errill GAA Club 5,000 Clonaslee Billiard Club 3,000 Portlaoise Boxing Club 2,000 A note of thanks to Ms. Anne Marie Maher, Sport & Leisure Officer, Laois County Council, Arás an Chontae, Portlaoise for assisting the clubs with their applications.
